Ms. Mayer joined New Editions Consulting, Inc. in May 2016 and provides technical assistance to states expanding their HCBS services and to ensure compliance with the Settings rule. Previously, she worked for the state of Maryland where she implemented systems changes through 1915(c) waiver and 1915(k) State Plan redesign, Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) expansion, and other rebalancing activities. She served as a subject matter expert on the design and implementation of an integrated case management system that interfaced with the Medicaid Management Information System eligibility, claims, and an electronic visit verification system. She has experience providing training and education to state and county governments as well as nonprofit, advocacy, and for-profit organizations. She has worked in the aging and disability field for 10 years. Ms. Mayer has a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Oregon and her MSW from the University of Maryland.
