Damon Terzaghi is a Senior Director of Long-term Services and Supports at ADvancing States. Damon has more than 15 years of experience working in Medicaid, long-term services and supports (LTSS), and aging and disability programs and policy at both the state and national level. In his career, he has spent time at the Oregon Department of Human Services; the National Association of State Medicaid Directors (NAMD); the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; Marwood Group LLC, a private consulting firm; and ADvancing states. He has provided technical assistance to state Medicaid, aging, disability, and LTSS agencies in several roles, including as a Senior Policy Associate for NAMD as well as in his current role at ADvancing States.
Damon has focused his career on improving services and supports for all Medicaid populations, with a specific emphasis on home and community-based services. He has expertise in federal law and regulation, as well as translating these requirements to policy and to program implementation. He also has experience in meeting facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning related to Medicaid and long-term services and supports.
